The Five Elements of Silence

If silence was water,
a libation,
I would drink the beginning of creation
If silence was a tree,
I would grow into the universe
and root myself in eternity
If silence was fire,
I would flicker
a bright light lower--higher
inside, outside of being
If silence was metal,
I would shape myself--
settle into all possibility
If silence was earth,
I would lie down
blanket the ground and
look up at a zillion stars
